Dr. Rajan Mahtani established Zambezi Portland Cement, a cement manufacturing factory that was known for its ethical work culture, high wages and surplus production. However, things changed when the factory was illegally taken over by the Ventriglias, notoriously known as the Italian mafias. While Dr. Rajan Mahtani quickly launched a case against them at the Lusaka High Court, the court proceedings met with their own shortcomings and are yet to provide any judgement, 10 years after the case was registered by Dr. Rajan Mahtani. Meanwhile, the factory condition is destitute as the Ventriglias have left it by themselves. Most of the workers are either fired or left themselves due to non-payment of wages. The factory assets have started to corrode and the factory cash box has been completely emptied.
While the judge currently handling the case has confirmed that case hearing is closed, the judgment will have to be made soon. Otherwise the factory might not revive at all.
